The PCB Components In PCB Design Process

The PCB design is not an easy task to achieve, you have to work hard and put a lot of effort to get efficient results. Being beginner you would not be able to make best designs all at once, but you will make improvements over time. The following is detailed guide to make PCBs for beginners and sold PCB components on to it.


The Schematics

First of all, you are required to have an idea of the schematics of the circuit that you want to build. For this you would simulate the circuit in some software such as Proteus to know whether the circuit would work in hardware shape or not. The schematics is very important to know the practical results of the circuit being implemented.

The PCB Layout

The next step after the verification of the schematics is the design of the layout of the circuit. For this Eagle CAED or DipTrace might be incorporated. During the process of PCB layout design you must use the proper spacing in between each PCB component. Moreover you have to use the proper vias to place the components and make the width of the copper tracks appropriate to avoid discontinuity of the circuit.

Printing the Circuit on Board

The next step is to print the layout circuit on to a sticky paper and then adhere it to the board. This process is very important as any mistake can lead you to discontinuity of the circuit and you would print circuit again.


Etching, Drilling, and Soldering PCB Components

The final step is to etch the layout of the circuit using chemicals such as copper sulphate which will leave behind the vias and the copper layers and remove the excess copper. Then you can drill the vias and place the PCB components on to the circuit board with the soldering wire and iron.
